Recognizing SynCare’s Nursing Staff

SynCare has designated October as the month to recognize the contribution that nurses have made within our disease management model. The leadership of SynCare personally thank you for your gift of caring to make SynCare a premier disease management company.
The profession of nursing is one of the most respected, most vital and one of the most challenging, professions. "Nursing is intense work that requires one of constant self examination. The desire to become a nurse for many is the intense calling or desire to demonstrate true and unwavering compassion and concern for humankind." This intense compassion and concern for humankind is the vital element that has made SynCare a disease management success.
SynCare’s approach to disease management is based fundamentally on utilizing the skill and talent of nurses who care. The theory of human caring developed by Jean Watson is based on a transpersonal approach to the understanding of healing. This approach emphasizes the interconnectedness of human relationships, which comprises a holistic assessment of human being . The nurses of SynCare demonstrate Watson’s theory of caring via establishing a helping-trust relationship with members. The characteristics that are needed to establish rapport and caring according to Watson are congruence, empathy and warmth.
The nurses of SynCare demonstrate communication that includes verbal, nonverbal and listening signifying empathetic understanding. These traits are clearly the method needed to reach members in a positive manner to improve health outcomes. The SynCare nurses constantly focus on the learning process as much as the teaching process. They demonstrate an ongoing understanding of the person’s perception of the situation to assist with development of a realistic care plan. The art of caring is clearly demonstrated by the nurses of SynCare. Over and over the nurses demonstrate an ongoing commitment to service and excellence.
